sprained wrist

Injured my wrist while cycling along East Coast Park on Friday.

I SO-WANNA sit down and pen down my thoughts for 2008 and 2009. But it just seem to be so difficult to do so. And I wonder why.

Think it's gonna be a Kit-Kat Season until CNY is over. Haha.

Painful Wrist! Ouch.

Brand New 2009!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Okay, really sorry for the lack of updates the last 2 weeks. Have been really busy busy busy with lots of things.

Christmas services, tawning in my house for TWO-LONG-SLEEPLESS consecutive nights with some crazy people, countdown, meet-ups, suppers, movies and many many others!

Updates in a short while, though I realised that the number of hits in this blog has dropped tremendously! Haha.

But who cares? I'm gonna update it soon. If my wrist permits though. Urgh!

REVIVAL!

It's coming! And the time is NOW!

Currently we have 23 friends! This is a super breakthrough for N246!

It's time! Time to EXPAND our capcities! Lengthen our courts! All these friends that are confirmed, WILL come no matter what.

And by faith we declare all these souls! They all belong to Him! Let the process begin! Let it be done!

I'm all excited for it! The whole Heavens are sooo gonna rejoice!

Rants Rants & more Rants

This season is the season where almost all NSFs will clear their leave. By right, I'm supposed to! But, due to some work in camp, I could only clear it on a few days or so.

I cleared 3 days of leave until Wed, and then went back to camp for COS Duty on Thurs till today.

Sigh, the 3 days of leave didn't felt like it was leave at all. I really wanna go on a holiday! Somewhere paradise, where there's a beach! Soaking under the sun all day long, and doing some sea sports like canoeing, boat-skiing etc.

Diving sounds like a good idea too! I want I want!

But all these seem so far away! No money, no sponsorship, bound by NS Life; Sigh. Whatever.

At least I got a chance to watch "Bolt". Funny show! I love the way the digitals are being played on the screen. It looks so realistic! Worth watching the show. =D

25 more weeks to ORD! I'm counting down!! Lord, let the time pass quickly!

I think, I'm gonna work after I ORD for a period of time. I wanna experience working life for maybe a year or two, before furthering my studies. Or maybe do part-time at the same time.

But I'm gonna try applying for NIE for the Degree Programme one more time next year! Just one last try! If it's still unsuccessful, I'll just go look for a job!

Ok. I dunno wat else to blog. Off to game!

Practicality vs Satisfaction

The struggle between practicality & satisfaction.

Practicality - you buy something because it's cheap, worth it and meets almost every criteria you have to make you look good.

Satisfaction - you buy something NO MATTER how expensive it is, just to satisfy your good-image-looking-desire with new things that make you look good.

My oh my, what a fine difference it is! I am really very tempted to buy new shirts since it's Christmas, but the practicality part kills.

If u understand the "chim-ness" behind this post, I really salute you.

HP Charger

Isn't it amazing to have someone you know (other than your neighbours), whom you think you can trust, to have something that you need, at that specific time and hour?

I left my one and only Nokia Charger in camp (the one with the thin pinhole), and my phone was getting low batt.

I searched through my MSN contacts to see if there's someone I know and still in contact with, that might have the same Nokia Charger to charge my HP for 1 night.

Thank God for Liying! haha.

On a hiatus

Okays, finally! I can have the time to really sit down and pen my thoughts.

Random thoughts.

The last 1.5 months was the busiest days ever in my NS life. So many demands to meet, expectations to rise up to.

Finally, I could be on a hiatus before the new soldiers come into my unit on 22nd Dec. Which means, it would be busy busy and BUSY again!

Meeting so many people expectations can be really tiring and draining!

I mean, I am who I am! I can't change myself just to be who you want me to be. I am an imperfect being, just like everybody else.

But I'm called to be perfected! Don't live for people's expectations!

Live for God's expectation in your life!

What exactly are we asking for, when we ask God to strengthen our hearts? Or when we declare that God is the strength of our hearts?

Whenever we ask God to strengthen your heart, we are asking God to give us the capacity to learn how to meet His expectations and NOT what others expect you to be.

Asking God to strengthen your heart also means knowing how to be SECURE in who you are in God and who God is.

Knowing that your sins HAVE been paid for! Knowing that the enemy HAS ALREADY defeated. Knowing that you are being redeemed and washed clean so that your life can move on to perfection level, just like Jesus!

It's more than the head knowledge. It's all about that revelation, that experience that secures you and strengthen your heart during times of crisis!

And after being a Christian for 10 years, I still do struggle with this at times.

There will always be times when I will wonder to myself: Who am I that God chose me? I've got so many flaws: temperamental problems, laziness, loves to sleep, doesn't really like to talk to people, makes so many mistakes all the time etc.

Who are you in God, today?
